2nd Talk: People centered  transformation – Success factors to manage the change of an SAP S/4 HANA implementation

At the moment and in the next years, many companies are facing the challenge to migrate their existing IT systems to SAP S/4 HANA, which is also often a central part of a company's digitalization strategy. In addition to some profound technical changes associated with the system changeover, the transition to SAP S/4 HANA often requires the adoption of the company organization and processes as well as a change in the behavior of the individual employees.
A people centered approach is required to ensure that the transformation is successful and that the desired benefits from the migration can be achieved.

The presentation will deal with the main challenges using a practical example of a SAP S/4HANA implementation in the chemical industry. It describes relevant success factors and introduces a best practice approach for a people centered transformation.

Dirk has started consulting in the early 1990s. Within more than 10 years of professional experience in consulting, he was leading strategy, reorganization and implementation projects and programs in Germany, Great Britain, Czech Republic and United States.
Before starting with CPC, Dirk worked for more than 13 years in various management positions within Deutsche Bahn. For example, as the Business Development Manager he was ensuring the strategic positioning of a business unit in a deregulated market and led restructuring and subsequent development initiatives as program manager.

His areas of expertise are: Business Transformation and Development Programs, International Program- and Project-Management, Supply Chain Management / Lean Manufacturing, Quality & Safety Management. Dirk furthermore holds a diploma in Business Engineering, and is a certified Business Coach and Scrum Master.
