Dr. Andreas Berning, PMP
President (president @ pmi-frankfurt.de)
 Andreas Berning

I joined the PMI Frankfurt chapter in December 2012 where I first started as a "PDU collector" (which is typical role in the chapter). At the beginning of 2016, I took over a volunteering position in marketing/communication. From there I strengthened my commitment to the PMI Frankfurt chapter by taking over the Marketing & Public Relations department in Nov 2016. Being president since Nov 2017 I had the opportunity to guide the chapter through its 30th anniversary which we celebrated with our members and sponsors with numerous interesting and special events. Moreover, in the 2nd half of 2018 I took over the role of the chair of the four german PMI chapters where I was able to intensify the collaboration of the chapters Berlin/Brandenburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, and Southern Germany.

2019 will be the year to set the course for the future, be it as the Frankfurt Chapter or already a unified Germany Chapter, in order to create even more benefit for our members as we have today. That being said it is clear that this will only be possible by continuous support by our sponsors and the hard work done by the many volunteeers from our chapter.

My name is Kurt Lehberger and I play an active role in the chapter since 2014 being a board member between 2014 and 2017.

The large regional stretch of the Frankfurt Chapter – ranging from Flensburg to Heidelberg (north to south) and Saarbrücken to Fulda (west to east) - is a true challenge. I intend to integrate the four local groups more into the strategy of the chapter and support them to organize their local activities in an efficient and effective manner. There is potential for more local groups e.g. in Kassel, Bremen and Kiel, however this requires volunteers to stand up, found and take the lead of such local groups.

Secondly in my role as the Ambassador which is about the collaboration between the four PMI chapters in germany I‘m going to make sure that the interests of the Frankfurt Chapter are properly represented and new joint initiatives are supported by the us.

I’m looking forward to a fruitful collaboration with you and am always reachable via e-mail.
